30 Days of Knitting - Day Seven
Your least favorite?
Honestly, when I am not liking something that I’m knitting, I frog it. Continuing on yucky looking projects is an abuse of both time and yarn in my opinion. That being said, the least favorite project that I have completed to date is Tubey by Cassie Rovitti. The construction of it is very simple and pretty. I even checked the Ravelry projects to see how the pattern...

What is your favorite piece that you’ve knit?
Circa September 2009
This is the first sweater ever I tried to assemble. No pattern. Just used a little vest that my son had already to help me with the sizing and went for it.
It didn’t come out perfectly, but it fit how I wanted it to and I thought it looked cute on him.
It’s my favorite because I came up with it all on my own...

30 Days of Knitting - Day Five
How long did it take from the time your learned how to knit, to finish your first project?
I (of course) had to consult my Ravelry projects for the answer to this once again. My memory isn’t worth a damn dime lately. Apparently it took me about nine months from first picking up the needles to finishing that 360 Hat project. Admittedly I was sidetracked by crochet hooks an a few good...

30 Days of Knitting - Day Four
How did you learn to knit?
I am a self-taught knitter. TV, Library Books, YouTube Vids, Craft Blogs & Sites made it pretty easy for me to figure things out. Only, I interpreted the instructions for knitting a basic stitch to mean I was to pull the loop through the back of the stitch. I actually thought this was the proper way to knit until I came across a pattern that called for me to knit...

30 Days of Knitting - Day Three
Do you have any other WIPs (works in progress)?
I do. I have a crochet project in the works, of course not knitting, but I will post a pic anyway. I also am test knitting a pattern that I am sworn to secrecy about. I even had to agree not to knit it in public! Pretty cool though, as I’ve learned a bit about the process of acquiring test knitters as well as the paperwork and follow-up...

What is currently on your needles?
Right now I have Ice Yarns worsted weight variegated black/brown Anna Mohair on US 10-1/2 circulars. My inability to sell much on Etsy left me with a bit of knitters block with regard to put into my shop, so I started making things for myself instead. Now I can’t stop!
I’m making a 2x2 rib stitch hat/fingerless glove/scarf set. I have about three...

What was your first finished project?
I honestly forgot what it was, but I consulted Ravelry and discovered that my first original finished product was this…
THE 360 - As in three hundred sixty degrees of pleats and waves encircling yo dome…
I still need to finish writing the pattern. Procrastination is a mf.
